The Hague, October 24-26
The e-Challenges conference is the most significant annual IST research event
supported by the European Commission. Régens, Plc. has been an involved and
active e-Challenges participant since 2005. This year too, we were present at
the conference held in The Hague, which gave us the opportunity to
reconnect with companies around the EU and to build new networks in the ICT
arena.
The conference was attended by over 600 delegates from leading
commercial, government, and research institutions interested in sharing
knowledge and experience in applied ICT areas such as: Networked Enterprise,
eGovernment and eDemocracy, Collaborative Working Environments, eHealth,
Knowledge and Content Technologies, Security and Identity Management and
Technology Enhanced Learning and ICT Skills. The sessions attended by our
delegation evolved around interoperability, technological platforms, and SME
collaboration in the manufacturing sector.
As a
Hungarian SME, Régens is eager to continue building steady international
partnerships and to participate in various RTD projects at the EU level, which
involve interoperability and open architectures.
Régens Plc. also took part in the Hagrid FP7 pre-conference Networking Event held in
The Hague on October 23, 2007. Hagrid is an SSA project, which supports the participation of
private sector actors in EU funded framework programs. The Régens delegation
delivered its approach to FP projects in a presentation entitled: FP7 and the future of RTD from the
perspective of a Hungarian SME.
HAGRID
provides a Single Point of Access (SPOA) to the services and activities of the
projects and networks, which support corporate participation in European ICT
research.
